Well, if you have to know, I'm seriously considering to buy a PS3 this year in 2008. The playstation 3 console did not really do well last 2007 only because a lot of their games have not been released yet.

This year, a lot of their A-games will be released which will result in a massive outbreak of Sony PlayStation 3 fans! Including me! :D

Some of the games includes Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4 (Where there is a rumor that Snake will die?), Grand Theft Auto 4. With these great titles, I doubt that the PS3 will not take off soon in 2008!
